EU Heads of Mission received a private tour through the ere (village) and an impressive dance and drama performance at dinner by Kasimary Primary School (regional winner, Music and Drama Competition 2017).
It was exciting to know that for many of the ambassadors it was the first time to visit northeast Uganda. Therefore we’re greatly thankful for the opportunity to positively impact the image of the region on international level through tourism.

In November 2019, Kara-Tunga hosts EU Heads of Mission for the second time in Karamoja and gave them a cultural experience of the Tepeth-tribe living on the foothills of Mount Moroto. Read more.
The Tour of Karamoja is more than just a bike event. It is an opportunity to experience the rich culture and stunning scenery of least travelled East Africa. Riders will meet different cultures, see untouched landscapes and create opportunities for the most vulnerable girls in this area.
If you travel to or from Kidepo Valley NP, this place is worth a detour. Not specific about the lodge itself, but Theo and his colleagues really offer a special program to get to know the area and the Karamojo people.
