Karamoja Cultural Festival Tour 2022

We’re excited to host the official Karamoja Cultural Festival Group Tour. The annual event is aimed at celebrating Karimojong culture together with the so-called Ateker cluster tribes from Kenya, South Sudan and Ethiopia.

This Karamoja Cultural Festival Group Tour combines a visit to the festival with an authentic Karimojong cultural experience and wildlife viewing in Uganda’s most applauded Kidepo Valley National Park.

Tentative program

The tour departures from the Kampala with a comfortable van and English speaking indigenous driver guide. The tour includes transport, all meals and activities. It excludes drinks, tips and personal expenditures.

• The Lodwar Lake Turkana Cultural Festival combines a visit to the festival with an authentic Turkana cultural experience and a visit to world’s largest desert Lake Turkana also known as the Jaded Sea. The festival takes place on the Eastern shores of Lake Turkana and gathers a great amount of Northern Kenya tribes sa well. The festival is accessible in a days drive from Karamojaland.
• The Marsabit Lake Turkana Cultural Festival is Its sister festival and takes place in Loiyangalani on the Western shores of the Lake Turkana. This is the legendary annual Marsabit Lake Turkana Cultural Festival which brings together the 14 communities of Marsabit county.
