Though, the current supply of resembling bead jewellery, wood carvings and paintings are made in Kenya and inspired by our family tribe the Maasaï who are far ahead in terms of commercial quality production and marketing.
Kara-Tunga aims at preservation of cultural heritage and diversifying income generating activities for the the indigenous community by building their capacity in producing marketable quality souvenirs, entrepreneurship and connecting them with the market.

We are part of the Akiiki initiative that brings together like-hearted people and so we had the pleasure to host one of our family members Bafrika Creationz from Entebbe (Uganda’s main airport) in Karamoja.

Bafrika Creationz is a renown art gallery in Uganda for it’s beautiful artwork and it’s social contribution by offering art classes to the local community for free.
This is the start of a future partnership of linking Karimojong souvenir producers to the most popular markets in Uganda. Bafrika Creationz and Kara-Tunga have committed to train Karimojong youth in painting.
