Mount Moroto Hiking Guides – Amazing landscapes, people and culture in Karamoja. Definitely recommend it for people who want to discover new places, go off the beaten tracks and truly have an amazing experience.
Stayed at Kara-Tunga guesthouse for a weekend: great service, very friendly staff and feels like a home away from home. Booked a two-day hike on Mount Moroto and the Mount Moroto Hiking Guides and porters were absolutely amazing and took care of our group very well.
An experience and birthday weekend I will never forget. Thanks Kara-Tunga and crew for a great weekend.

Moroto visit doesn’t disappoint – Hiking and sundowning in the mountain is a unique way of learning about the peoples of northeastern Uganda, from its highlands to the vast plains below.
Last week with we where taken on a field study tour to the Karamoja region. I have been to this region so many times but this visit was a unique one and a great eye opener.
Together with a friend I visited the Ik tribe in northern part of Karamoja, and it turned out to be the most remote and culturally interesting region in Uganda I ever traveled! Don’t expect hotels and well catered camp sites.
