Karamoja was a travel experience of a life time. We visited the karamoja communities, the welcoming dances made me feel at home, the rich karamoja cultural experience so amazing. Thanks to the Karatunga team for the organisation, the guides where so professional and were very informed about the region’s history. Accommodation at Karamoja Safari Camp was on point, the place is clean and quite, services on point and the food was amazing, cant wait for my next visit.
We were very lucky that Kara-Tunga was brought to our attention right before we took off for a visit to Kidepo Valley NP, otherwise we would probably have missed out on such an awe-inspiring experience in the North-Eastern and Eastern parts of Uganda.
Maria Schiffer, 11th December 2022 – I’m back in Uganda because of Theo, whom I met while working on my book Eating With Africa In 2018. I’ve been traveling along the Warrior Nomad Trail the last week, researching and experiencing Community Tourism.
Near Moroto we privately had a traditional Karamojong village tour with a local guide. Normally, I don’t like village tours, but this was better than expected and pure.
