The field guidebook Birds of East Africa shows also tells us the same message. Its not a common bird. Crammy Uganda Wanyama told us that he was seeing it for the 3rd time, while I was seeing it for the second time.

From Kumi to Moroto
Although the journey was longer than expected we were able to make some stops on the way and we were able to register a few species.
We started at 9:30am for a journey of 8 hours. By 7:30pm we checked in at Kara-Tunga, Karamoja Safari Camp. Excellent reception. Superb Coffee.
