The Warrior Nomad Trail
The Warrior Nomad Trail, is a thrilling journey traversing Uganda’s Karamoja sub-region and Kenya’s West-Pokot and Turkana Counties. It takes you from the southern grasslands, along the East African Rift, to Worlds’ largest desert Lake Turkana, into the award-winning Kidepo Valley National Park.
The Trail promotes exploring the least travelled areas for a rewarding untamed outdoor adventure, authentic cultural experience and positive impact on the host community and environment.
Multi-disciplinary adventure
The Warrior Nomad Trail is a multi-disciplinary cross-border tourist trail, originating from Uganda’s least travelled Karamoja sub-region. The trail reunites the people living across Northern Kenya, South Sudan and Southwest Ethiopia. Visitors can choose to drive a 4WD vehicle, ride a bicycle or motorbike, walk or hike and even take a boat over some sections.

The Warrior Nomad Trail Pass includes useful information and travel tips. The pass costs 50,000 UGX or 20USD and will be available at partners located at the international airport and on the trail (Pian Upe, Moroto and Kidepo Valley).

Since our beginnings, we have been blessed to collaborate with photographer, story teller and guide Marcus Westberg. His passion for the remote and unknown made us engage in a long-term commitment to cover Uganda’s best kept secret: Karamoja.
