We are excited to announce a new educational partnership with Dutch Noorderpoort College to strengthen our capacity in Karamoja regional tourism development through skilling.
Therefore we launched The Karamoja Tourism Academy in 2018. Up to now we happily graduated 45 students in basics in hospitality tour guiding. Today we are proudly announcing a long-term partnership with Noorderpoort College from The Netherlands. They are one of the most respected colleges in the country, offering secondary technical and vocational education including tourism and hospitality.
Together we will develop and test tourism and hospitality-related courses to equip the local community with the skills to benefit from the increasing regional tourism sector.
Today we officially launched the ‘Boost the Employability of Tourism staff in Elgon and Karamoja‘ project! The project is part of a larger initiative to enable sustainable and decent income-generating employability for Ugandan youth.
A new way of collaboration with Akiiki partnership – Marijke D’Herde lanceert Akiiki, een vzw die verbindende reizen in Oeganda organiseert. Deze reis doet je verder groeien in verbindende communicatie door het praktisch toe te passen ‘on the road’.
