Sensitising Karamoja Communities on Tourism – Kara-Tunga aims at making Karamoja a must visit destination with people at its centre. It therefore embarked on a journey through the region to sensitise 17 community tourism groups (600 members) along Karamoja’s Warrior Nomad Trail.
The communities were sensitised about the looming tourism opportunity and the need to embrace training programs, preserve our cultural heritage and biodiversity, foster peaceful coexistence, as well as diversify their tourism products to increase their incomes.

Things to do in Abim – Abim is a unique geographical location with rugged mountains and lush green vegetation. The people of Abim do not identify themselves with their Karimojong or Lango neighbours, they find themselves unique and go by the name of Ethur.
