We are proud to see our tour guides (Emmanuel, Peter, Brian and Thomas) being part of this milestone in professionalising Uganda’s tourism sector through government regulated licensing of tourist guides. They just completed a second workshop at Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre in Entebbe to finalise on the development of the assessment tools for Uganda’s National Tourist Guides Assessment. Thanks to Uganda Tourism Board for facilitating this exercise. We are now sure that tourist guides in Uganda can start the assessment at Level 1 and licensing process. We can’t wait to start training and assessing tourist guides in Northeastern Uganda next year at Karamoja Tourism Academy.
