1st December 2022, Kampala Uganda – Kara-Tunga Tours received the Ekkula Pearl of Africa Tourism Awards for It’s contribution towards the development of Cultural Tourism in Uganda.

Ekkula Pearl of Africa Tourism Awards is a private sector driven tourism initiative passionate in promoting tourism through training, recognizing, awarding and subsequently motivating key stakeholders in the tourism Industry annually.
It is a legal requirement that all employees undergo basic fire safety training at induction and periodically thereafter, expected annually in most workplaces. The training must be carried out by a competent person with suitable and sufficient skills and knowledge of fire safety.

Karamoja Tourism Development
Kara-Tunga recently launched it’s nonprofit Foundation aimed at increasing its impact and manage their developmental activities like the annual Tour of Karamoja Bicycle Event, Community Tours, Karamoja Tourism Academy, Warrior Nomad Tourist Trail and Karamoja Conservation Zones initiatives.
