COVID-19 Vaccination of Kara-Tunga Staff – The Kara-Tunga staff has taken an exemplary role in Karamoja (Northeastern Uganda’s) community tourism sector to protect themselves, their families, vulnerable rural community partners and guests.
The first COVID-19 vaccination in Uganda (Unicef) took place on March 10th in Kampala Uganda. The government prioritised the health workers, security personnel, Teachers and staff in all education institutions, all persons aged 50 years and above and essential service workers who interact with many people by the nature of their work.
Due to the low turn-up and the limited shelf life of the vaccine, the government called upon the people of Uganda to come and make use of the opportunity as long as the vaccine is available.
We are proud that our staff have embraced the vaccination and have taken essential steps towards protecting themselves, their families and our guests.
The Uganda Wildlife Authority is in the final stages of introducing ten southern white rhino into Kidepo Valley National Park. This initiative aims to enhance tourism and the park’s ecosystem.
