The long awaited opening of the state-of-the-art Hotel Africana Moroto is in December 2020. The hotel is located along the Moroto-Soroti road in Nadunget subcounty. It incorporates 70 rooms, conference facilities, function hall, restaurant and bar.
Karamoja Tourism Academy:
Karamoja Tourism Academy has partnered to facilitate the recruitment process as regional specialist in skilling and recruitment for the hospitality and tourism sector. Founded by Kara-Tunga Tours.

The active tourist can go hiking, mountaineering and mountain biking. The cultural tourist will be amazed by the numerous local traditions, customs, arts & crafts.
Dutch hiking tour company Bergwandelen.com and expedition leader Jan Bakker will train a selection of hiking guides from various mountain ranges located in Uganda’s Karamoja sub-region, Kenya and South Sudan on the Warrior Nomad Trail. and have mobilised their network to donate hiking equipment.
Sensitising Karamoja Communities on Tourism – Kara-Tunga aims at making Karamoja a must visit destination with people at its centre. It therefore embarked on a journey through the region to sensitise 17 community tourism groups (600 members) along Karamoja’s Warrior Nomad Trail.
