At Kara-Tunga Honey, we’re excited to announce a new product ‘Kara-Tunga Honey Candles’ that brings the warmth and natural goodness of Karamoja honey into your home: Beeswax candles.
The beeswax originates from the process of separating the delicious honey from combs. By utilising this so-called byproduct, we’re ensuring that nothing goes to waste and it enables us to give a premium price providing to the hardworking beekeepers.
Our approach to candle making reflects the same principles that guide our honey production:
Sustainable: We work directly with smallholder farmers who are trained and awarded for responsible beekeeping, ensuring the health of the bee colonies and the long-term sustainability of the ecosystem.
Natural: Our candles are made with 100% pure beeswax, free from artificial fragrances, dyes, and additives.
Handcrafted Each candle is carefully handcrafted, reflecting the artistry and dedication of our team.
Here’s a glimpse into the process of making the first prototypes from the beeswax to the packaged product.
