The last week, the trail team has been scouting out the trails for the Tour of Karamoja 2024 cycling adventure and we have some news!
While the original Turkana stage was impacted by heavy rains, we’ve found an incredible alternative.
In stead of Pian Upe, we’ll start in Karita Town, near the Kenyan border. This new adventure will make us explore more stunning trails through rural communities. And on top of this, we will camp at the shore of Lake Turkwel. So a refreshing swim is included!
We’ve also added a night in Moroto at Kara-Tunga’s Safari Camp. This means a bit more tarmac (7% in total), but it’s a scenic route bending around Mount Moroto massive that’s totally worth it.
Overall, we’ve kept the event’s length and challenging elements. We’ve prioritized single-track and backroads, so you can expect an unforgettable experience.
