Kara-Tunga Honey is ‘baking up’ ideas with BROOD Bakery, a Ugandan brand which is known for artisanal quality and organic ingredients for their mouthwatering baked goods across the country.
This exploration with BROOD builds on our collaborative spirit with fellow favorite Ugandan food brands, who share our values. Recently, we announced our partnership with BANANGE Brewing Co., which resulted in Uganda’s first ‘Honey Craft Beer‘.
Why we embrace collaboration?
At Kara-Tunga, our heart lies in celebrating the beauty of Uganda’s northeastern Karamoja sub-region, uplifting its local communities, and conserving its pristine biodiversity. We strive to achieve this by offering unforgettable experiences and creating valuable products for both the local community and our consumers. To amplify this mission and vision, we believe in the power of strategic partnerships. By collaborating with like-minded entities, from travel agents who showcase the wonders of Karamoja to innovative food brands who appreciate quality local ingredients, we can collectively expand our reach and deepen our impact.
Both Kara-Tunga and BROOD are driven by a passion for creativity and a commitment to making a positive impact on our environment and communities. This foundation of shared values creates a fertile ground for exploring exciting possibilities.
We are proud that Kara-Tunga Honey will be available for sale in BROOD shops, bringing our pure Ugandan honey from Karamoja closer to more customers.
Celebrating the Dutch Connection
Furthermore, our ambition includes actively supporting BROOD in developing new and delightful pastries that feature the unique flavors of Kara-Tunga Honey within their product line. Drawing inspiration from BROOD’s Dutch roots, and recognizing the iconic Stroopwafel, Kara-Tunga and BROOD have already kickstarted this collaboration by developing Uganda’s first Honey Stroopwafel edition. We can’t wait for it to be available in their shops.
