Moroto: Uganda’s secret birders’ haven
The bird of the day
By Herbert Byaruhanga – This bird was our bird of the day. According to the Birdlife International distribution map, the White-bellied Canary (Crithagra dorsostriata) enters Uganda slightly.
The field guidebook Birds of East Africa shows also tells us the same message. Its not a common bird. Crammy Uganda Wanyama told us that he was seeing it for the 3rd time, while I was seeing it for the second time.
