The Tour of Karamoja – Bicycle Challenge is taking place 24 Oct – 3 Nov 2024, traversing Uganda’s Warrior Nomad Trail in 563 Km route with 5,970m elevation is divided into 7 unique stages of mixed length and difficulty.

The trail starts on the lower southern savannah plains of Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve, climbs on top of the East African Rift escarpment and finally slopes into Kidepo Valley National Park. Expect dramatic landscapes, rich cultural encounters, Uganda’s finest wildlife and an awarding physical challenge.

The Tour of Karamoja is Uganda’s ultimate wilderness bike tradition aimed at positively impacting the image of northeast Uganda and promoting tourism for sustainable development.
The journey starts on the lower savannah plains in Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve and curls through the woodlands in West Pokot onto the rolling hills of the East African Rift down into the award-winning Kidepo Valley National Park
The 563 Km route with 5,970m elevation is divided into 7 unique stages of mixed length and difficulty. The trail is a mix of rocky cattle paths, loose and hard-packed gravel and single tracks. The final 8th day of the event is an award-winning cycling safari through the national park.

Ride 4 Girl Child

The tour aims at raising funds to offer life-changing education for at least one class of 20 girls at Matany Girl’s Vocational School Change the life of one girl by sponsoring €550 for a full vocational training course including an internship and career coaching. Raise €1 per Kilometre and empower one girl and so one village. Learn more

Warrior Nomad Trail

The tour will follow ‘The Warrior Nomad Trail‘ starting in Southern Karamoja land and ending in Africa’s most applauded awarded national park ‘Kidepo Valley National Park’.

Cancellation policy

Find below our refund policy based on cancellation time to arrival day. The below amounts are less transaction/currency charges.

  • Until 31 July 2023 = 75% refund
  • 1 Aug – 28 Aug 2023 = 50% refund
  • 29 Aug – 25 Sept 2023 = 25% refund
  • 26 Sept – 24 Oct 2023 = 0% refund
