We’re excited to host the Marsabit Turkana Cultural Festival Group Tour taking place in Loiyangalani, Marsabit County (Kenya). This is the legendary annual Marsabit Lake Turkana Cultural Festival which brings together the 14 communities of Marsabit county. In an event rich in culture and showcasing of artefacts and traditional foods. All set on the beautiful Jade sea shore town of Loiyangalani.
Loiyangalani is a small town located on the south-eastern coast of Lake Turkana. The name means “a place of many trees” in the native Samburu tongue and is home to the El Molo, an almost extinct community, amongst other communities. Its main industries include fishing, tourism and gold panning.
The Marsabit Lake Turkana Cultural Festival Group Safari dates for 2021 are yet to be confirmed.
The tour departures from Kampala with with a comfortable 4WD vehicle and English speaking indigenous driver guide. The tour includes transport, accommodation, meals and activities. It excludes drinks, tips and personal expenditures.
