The first ever survey of the Uganda’s only endemic Fox’s Weaver is conducted in Pian-Upe Wildlife Reserve in Northeastern Uganda. The program is initiated by Nature Uganda, funded by UNDP Small Grants Programme and spearheaded by Jonathan Onongo.
We just returned from mapping a trail through Kenya’s West-Pokot County. The trail is meant for the Warrior Nomad Trail initiative to guide travelers through East Africa’s least travelled areas. Since our beginnings, we have been blessed to collaborate with photographer, story teller and guide Marcus Westberg. His passion for the remote and unknown made us engage in a long-term commitment to cover Uganda’s best kept secret: Karamoja.
This is an amazingly fun Belgian television series for children showing how people in the world live with animals. For this 16 episode series, our favourite Belgian musician/presenter Arne Vanhaecke, visited different homesteads and kraals in Karamoja. My trip started in the historical city of Colmar, where I’m attending the colourful “Salon International du Tourisme et des Voyages” with special attention to #SustainableTourism.
