We are glad to have concluded a 2 days training under Uganda Safari Guides Association (USAGA) on mechanisms to prevent, detect and respond to violence against women (VAW) and Gender Based Violence (GBV) in the workplace.
Hope Jemimah (PSFU): With this training, we have acquired more ambassadors in the fight against GBV.
Mr. Kamugisha Johnie (Chairman, USAGA): It’s good to have such training in that now is the time to advocate and champion the awareness of GBV.
Rebecca Kukundakwe (Investment Specialist, Gender PSFU/YAW): When it comes to reporting GBV cases, don’t report only cases that involve you. Report as well cases of other people who have been violated.
Key takeaways
To focus on GBV communication and advocacy, we need to get men involved as Anti-GBV champions in GBV awareness campaigns.
A comprehensive GBV Policy should be well aligned with the company’s vision & mission.
