The funds we acquire with our non-profit are used to bring together people from different communities in Uganda. By training and facilitating learning processes in the field, Akiiki brings about a transformation in a region that is scarred by violence and conflict.
Akiiki creates mutual involvement among different stakeholders, including the local communities as well as travellers. The connection from heart to heart and from person to person creates trust, brings people together with their actual needs, and enables empathy, even if the differences seemed unbridgeable at first.

The potential of tourism in Uganda is enormous. The ‘Pearl of Africa’ is famous for its gorilla’s and chimpanzees, but has much more to offer. The active tourist can go hiking, mountaineering and mountain biking. The cultural tourist will be amazed by the numerous local traditions, customs, arts & crafts.
Warrior Nomad trail promoting cultural tourism Uganda – The Kingdom of The Netherlands in collaboration with Dutch/Ugandan tourism stakeholders have launched a three-year project aimed at increasing the tourist arrivals to Uganda by diversifying the tourism products with the focus on soft-adventure and cultural tourism.
It is a legal requirement that all employees undergo basic fire safety training at induction and periodically thereafter, expected annually in most workplaces. The training must be carried out by a competent person with suitable and sufficient skills and knowledge of fire safety.
